Change in executive management of Bruker Alicona

After almost 20 years, Bruker Alicona announces a change in executive management. The company was founded in 2001 by Manfred Prantl and Stefan Scherer together with M&R Automation. As the leading company in the area of optical 3D metrology based on Focus-Variation, constant growth has been achieved over the past two decades. In order to accelerate the global growth even further, a financial investor invested in 2015. Prantl and Scherer remained on the executive board and continued to shape the company's expansive growth course. At the end of 2018, Bruker acquired 100% of the shares in Alicona in order to expand its product range towards dimensional metrology in precision manufacturing. After finalizing the integration process, Manfred Prantl and Stefan Scherer now hand over the executive management to Christian Janko, a long-time employee of Alicona.
 
"We have constantly developed the technology of Focus-Variation and have thus maintained our pioneering role in recent years. With the new optical coordinate measuring machine, Alicona is now ready for a further growth impulse," Prantl summarizes the innovation path of Alicona. "In addition to the superior quality of the products, we have always also paid attention to excellence in marketing and sales. This has enabled us to achieve a leading role worldwide in non-contact production measurement applications. Alicona is ready to continue this successful path," Scherer is convinced.
