How to improve your surface quality and edge rounding
Unfortunately this workshop together with OTEC Precision Finish has to be cancelled and postponed to September/October 2023. We will keep you updated and look forward to welcoming you in the fall!
Join us at OTEC Precision Finish, Inc. to discover how their mass finishing machines enable a perfect surface finish. AND: See how
Bruker Alicona's optical 3D metrology can be used to verify the manufactured components.
Discover the accurate, fast and universal optical 3D measuring instrument InfiniteFocusG6 from Bruker Alicona or the Drag finishing machine from OTEC, register for the hands-on demonstrations and learn what is possible.
Our experts will present relevant optical 3D measurement solutions and answer your questions in exclusive live-sessions.
Each day, personalized demo sessions will be available. Bring along your samples (parts, tools, etc.).
Smoothing, rounding, deburring – how metrology increases efficiency
OTEC Precision Finish has been using Bruker Alicona's Focus Variation for a decade. Managing Director Soran Jota reports first-hand how the reliability of his processing machines as well as the quality of drill components, milling cutters and gear parts could be optimized using this measurement technology. With the launch of a new mass finishing machine, OTEC is currently preparing the next step in its quality assurance strategy by measuring in the machine. In this video Soran Jota tells how this is intended to work in production (from minute 15:00).
What we will show you
Our optical 3D measurement systems
InfiniteFocus G6
InfiniteFocus G6 is a highly accurate, fast and flexible optical 3D measurement system. With only one sensor, users verify dimensional accuracy and measure surface roughness of their components. Based on the technology of Focus Variation the range of measurable surfaces is almost unlimited.

InfiniteFocus SL
InfiniteFocusSL is an optical 3D measurement system for easy, fast and traceable measurement of form and finish on micro structured surfaces. Users measure both form and roughness of components with only one system. Measurements are achieved in seconds and features, such as a coaxial laser for quick and easy focusing, further increase usability.

OTEC - Drag Finishing Machines
Custom-designed work piece holders make a significant contribution to the perfect processing results obtained by the DF series. They also ensure that the work pieces are mounted as quickly and efficiently as possible and considerably simplify batch processing. In recent years, OTEC has designed over 100 different types of holder.
