The year 2021 at Bruker Alicona - our highlights
At Bruker Alicona, we like to look ahead. Nevertheless, we would also like to take a look back on the year 2021 in terms of facts, figures and highlights:
- Approximately 150 people currently work for Bruker Alicona. We are spread around the globe - from our Austrian headquarters to 5 other locations in the US, France, Germany, Italy and China -, but we all work for one goal: Providing highly accurate optical industrial measurement technology for the quality assurance of complex components of different shapes, sizes and materials.

- Our company turned 20 years old, and we were able to celebrate the end of our "teenage years" with the entire team. In the course of celebrations, we managed to build a µCMM from LEGO bricks. It was created by more than 150 people, consists of more than 700 parts and was finished in less than 2 hours. It has a place of honor in our new metrology lounge. Discover our LEGO-CMM with John Bricks!
In our Austrian headquarters, we moved to a new building (which is located literally next door from our old location) and opened our brand-new metrology lounge: It acts as a showroom of our optical 3D measurement systems and is the ideal location for hands-on product training. It provides our current and potential customers with access to the latest in metrology technology including the 1st purely optical CMM machine. The metrology lounge consists of a meeting room and four measurement rooms that are temperature stable to VDI/VDE 2627.

At the TechDays, our biggest event so far, 21 speakers from 16 companies offered 17 lectures about production measurement technology in practice. Get a glimpse behind the scenes in our making-of video here.

Finally, we have a new Demo Center in China at our valued partner, the Shanghai Manufacturing Platform for Smart Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (SPSM), which is committed to developing and advancing new manufacturing technologies. Read more about how optical metrology drives forward groundbreaking production technologies.

- We ran and cycled 18,985.77 km/11,797.21 mi in our joint campaign "Bike & Run for Charity". Based on this sportive achievement, we donate 2,000 € to the Austrian Angelman Association which gives support, advice and help from parents for parents. Angelman syndrome is the result of a rare genetic change on chromosome 15.

Thank you for making our year 2021 so exciting and successful! We are very much looking forward to a continuation in 2022 and wish you all the best for the New Year!
